![]() Although as usual the author did well with the general theme(s) and plot, It was still quite predictable for me and I think I wanted more out of this story. Having recently read ‘Confess’ by the author in late December (you can check out my review in “book reviews”), immediately I got into this book, I felt exactly the same vibe I got from reading that story. This is a story about loss, grief, regret, forgiveness and second chances. However, when Ledger discovers who she really is and what his association with her would mean to his loved ones, he is at crossroads. After what went down before she was sent to prison, Keena knows it’s a long shot but then she meets Ledger Ward and they immediately connect. In this story, Keena Rowan has just finished serving a five years prison sentence and is back in town hoping to make contact with her four year old daughter who is being cared for by her grandparents. ![]() This was one of my most anticipated reads for January 2022 and I am glad I got around to reading it. ![]()
